Get Ready to Celebrate the Decades with Choteau’s 2023 Independence Day Parade!

The Choteau Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the theme of the 2023 Independence Day Parade: “Celebrating the Decades 1913-2023.” At our May 10th meeting, the Chamber membership voted to select this theme, which will allow us to showcase the history and cultural changes that have occurred in Choteau over the past 110 years.

The parade will take place on July 4th, 2023, and we encourage all residents, businesses, and organizations in the area to participate. The parade is a beloved Choteau tradition that brings our community together to celebrate our nation’s independence, and we can’t wait to see how everyone incorporates the theme into their floats and displays.

We invite participants to choose a decade from 1913 to 2023 and use it as inspiration for their parade entry. You could dress up in vintage clothing, decorate your float with images and symbols from the era, or play music from that decade. You’re also welcome to showcase important events, people, or businesses from Choteau’s history during that decade.

This year’s parade promises to be a memorable one, and we can’t wait to celebrate with all of you. So start brainstorming your ideas and get ready to bring your creativity and enthusiasm to the streets of Choteau on July 4th!

Plans for Choteau’s 4th of July are moving forward, but some of our Chamber-organized events are still in need of some helping hands to move forward. If you’re willing to lend a hand please contact Jen by email or giving her a call at 406-590-4280

Pitchfork Fondue Steak Fry (7/4 10a – 2p)

Andrea Greyn has graciously taken on the role of point person for the Steak Fry this year. She needs:

  • 1 more steak fryer
  • Servers – 3-4 people needed
  • Meat runners – 5-6 people needed

Class of ’02 Concert & Chamber Beer Garden (7/2 4:30p – 9p)

  • 3-4 Beer pourers
  • ID checker

Brewfest (7/3 – 3:30p – 8p)

  • 3-4 Beer pourers

Choteau Chamber of Commerce Seeking New Chairperson for 4th of July Steak Fry Fondue

March 14, 2022 UPDATE: After discussion at the March 2022 General Membership meeting, the Chamber has decided to open up the search for a new point person to anyone or any organization in the Choteau community. We have all the documentation and advisors you or your organization need to run this event! To help make sure planning goes well, the Chamber asks for as commitment by April 13, 2022. If you’re interested in taking on the Steak Fry or have questions, please contact Chamber Secretary Jen Asselstine (choteauchamber@gmail.com).

For 40+ years the Choteau Chamber of Commerce has hosted the 4th of July Steak Fry Fondue and has offered both out of town guests and locals the opportunity to gather together with good food in a fun atmosphere.
